As a spiritualist church we promote the development of mediumship, as this work can be very rewarding both for the medium and for the person seeking guidance to communicate with loved ones and guides, which is something that will enrich your life and touch your soul.

The development of mediumship can start any time in our lives - some are born with it, yet may put it on the back burner to bring it forward later in life; some can't control it and need help to discipline their gift, or just feel the need to be part of it, yet don't know why.

Some of you may find that you are needed for your energies in certain types of circles or spiritual work, as it's important to realise there are so many ways to work with our spirit friends. I can promise you there will be signs presented to guide you to the right place at the right time.

For those who find themselves gravitating to this way of life, then there is something within stirring. It may take time and several development circles or places of study to work out what your gifts are and for your guides to feel comfortable to work and open your channels, as the right environment is extremely important and sometimes found in several little steps rather than one direct step. And the next step is always one higher than the current step.

This is the point where some will give up and that's a real shame, as the spirit world needs their workers. As the saying goes - many are called, few are chosen. Dedication and motivation is the key. I know all too well how many negative things can happen and the spiritual loneliness that may hit you, but with perseverance the rewards can be amazing as negativity or loneliness will soon pass and be replaced with spiritual fulfilment. Of course to reach these heights, just keep the love in your heart in all that you do, this is my experience.
